By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to rectify the error in the FMB Sketch, inasmuch as, the FMB sketch shows only 45 cents instead of 50 cents in S.F.No.219/5C in Old S.F.219/5, at Vegakollai Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased 50 cents of land situated in S.F.No.219/5C, Vegakollai Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District from one Vijayakumar, vide Sale deed dated 17.02.2025. Pursuant thereto, patta was issued in petitioner's name. During survey, it was found by the revenue officials that FMB sketch
covers only 45 cents, while the extent of land mentioned in the sale deed and patta is 50 cents, thus there was a difference of 5 cents in FMB sketch. It is submitted that the petitioner made a representation on 19.05.2025 to the 2nd respondent seeking to rectify the error with regard to extent in the FMB sketch by annexing all relevant documents. But till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to rectify the error crept in the FMB Sketch.
4. The learned Addl. Govt. Pleader appearing for the Respondents 1 to 3 would submit that they would consider and pass orders on the above representation after issuing notice to the petitioner and any other interested persons.
5. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the Respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2025 on its own merits and pass
appropriate orders in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders and after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to them. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation, the concerned respondent shall consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
