O R D E R

This transfer petition is filed by the husband in a matrimonial dispute seeking transfer of H.M.O.P.No.71 of 2013 filed by the wife for divorce on the file of the Family Court, Pondicherry 2.

The petitioner-husband is a practicing Advocate and is also an Office bearer in the Pondicherry Bar Association. It is his case that only to frustrate him and tarnish his image in the Pondicherry District Court, the respondent-wife has filed the petition before the Family Court, Pondicherry. It is also stated that the petitioner was threatened by his father-in-law in the Court premises. As he is feeling shy to appear before the Court in which he himself is practicing and carrying on his profession, he is seeking transfer of the case to the District Court, Cuddalore so as to avoid embarrassment. That cannot be a ground for transferring the same, as the counsel does not express any other inconvenience in appearing before the Family Court, Pondicherry.
