PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.71/CH1/2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, S13 Chrompet Traffic Investigation Wing Police, Chitlapakkam, Chennai 600 064.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation pending in the Crime No.71 of 2021 dated 25.02.2021.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 25.02.2021, no final report is filed till date.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that investigation in this case is completed and the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of two months.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
