ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner is called absent.

2. The petitioner would state that at present, he is working as the Inspector of Police, Thirunavalur Police Station, Ulundurpet Taluk, Villupuram District and that the house bearing Door No.52, Bazaar Street, Vridhachalam, was originally belonged to his mother and on her demise, the said property devolved upon him and his sister has executed a

Release Deed in favour of the petitioner and necessary permission was also obtained from the jurisdictional Deputy Inspector General of Police, Vellore, for transfer of the property in his name and it was also ordered on 07.03.2012. The petitioner intended to demolish and reconstruct the said house and applied for permission from the Department through proper channel on 02.05.2014 and necessary clarification has also been obtained. However, the 5th respondent did not pass any orders for grant of approval for construction. In this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation on 02.05.2014 and since no orders have been passed, he came forward to file the present writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, taking into consideration, the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 5th respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2014 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
