4. The petitioner is the owner of the property situate at Door No.2/735, Plot No.51-B Southern portion, Srinivasan Nagar, Balaiah Garden, Madipakkam, Chennai, measuring to an extent of 2970 Sq.ft. The petitioner purchased the said property vide document No.921/1979, on the file of SRO Alandur, and obtained Patta in his favour. Thereafter, the petitioner put up construction in the ground and 1st floor for residential purpose and a shop in the ground floor for his sustenance.
5. While so, the petitioner wanted to make a family arrangement with respect to the aforesaid property, and in furtherance thereto executed a settlement deed in favour of his grand children represented by their natural guardian Kalaiselvi, with a stipulation that the minor grand children could enjoy the property only after his lifetime. However, Kalaiselvi, the natural guardian of the minor children, suppressing the above stipulation in the Settlement deed, obtained patta in the name of the 4th respondent, vide patta No.25218. After obtaining the Patta, the said Kalaiselvi, in violation of the conditions in the settlement deed, in order to grab the property, forcibly Page No.3 of 6
evicted the petitioner from the said property. As the petitioner was ill-treated, neglected and deprived of his property, he submitted a representation on 12.03.2025, to cancel the settlement deed dated 01.03.2024, however, no action was taken till date. Aggrieved by the inaction of respondents, the petitioners filed the above writ petition.

7. In view of the above facts and considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2025, for cancellation of the settlement deed dated 01.03.2024, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
