ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to hand over the office key of Arulmighu Sri Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple situated at Pillaiyar Koil Street, Maduravoyal and not to disturb the petitioner in administering and maintaining the temple.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that as early as on 07.10.2016, the petitioner
has already handed over the administration and maintenance of the temple to the Executive Officer and all of a sudden, in the year 2025, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the petitioner is now attempting to take over control of the temple, which is already under the control of the Executive Officer from the year 2016.

In the light of the above submission and the materials placed before this Court, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the Executive officer has taken over the administration of the temple, he should have questioned the same and without doing so, the petitioner has approached this Court in the year 2025 and is seeking for an innocuous prayer in a case which already has a background right from the year 2016.

In the result, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 26-06-2025 rka
