ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by Hon'ble Chief Justice) The grievance of the petitioner is that the case records pertaining to A.S.No.15 of 2015 and A.S.No.16 of 2015 on the file of the Subordinate Court, Mettur in Salem District had gone
missing and, as a consequence, the matters could not be disposed of resulting in serious prejudice to the petitioner.
2. A letter dated October 26, 2021 has been placed before this court. The letter is addressed by the Subordinate Court, Mettur to the Registrar, District Judiciary in this court. The key paragraph of the letter records as follows: "I humbly submit that the ... case records A.S.No.15/2015 and A.S.No.16/2015 documents are traceout (sic, traced out) and received from the District Munsif Court, Mettur, D.No.281/2021, dated:20.10.2021 and it is kept in bundle properly. I most humbly submit that, both appeal also posted for arguments on 22.11.2021. The details are also informed to the both side Counsel and they are directed to ready for arguments on those day."
3. In such view of the matter, nothing remains of the petition. Though the substance of the letter has already been set out as a part of this order, it will be open to the petitioner to obtain a copy of the letter dated October 26, 2021 from the Registrar, District Judiciary.
4. W.P.No.22910 of 2021 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
