The prayer sought for in the present writ petition is to call for the records on the file of the first respondent in proceedings Na.Ka.No.260/A1/2008 dated 19.05.2008 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to post the petitioner in and around Nagercoil.

2. The petitioner has challenged the above said proceedings dated 19.05.2008, wherein the first respondent had posted the petitioner to Devadanapatti Branch Library in Theni, which is 300 kilometers away from Kanyakumari.

3. There was no representation when the was matter listed on 18.06.2018. When the matter is listed today (19.06.2018) there was no representation for the petitioner in the morning and it is passed over to 2.15 p.m. When, the matter is taken up at 2.15 p.m, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner had already retired from his service in the year, 2012 and nothing survives in this matter.

5. Based on the submission of the learned Government Advocate that the petitioner has already retired from service and nothing survives for adjudication, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this Writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
