The Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu (AG & OT) has filed the instant application seeking permission to carry out the repair and renovation works at No.1, Narasingapuram, Mylapore, Chennai at a cost of Rs.3.50 lakhs by engaging Sri Dharshan Sai Sarvan Construction, No.91, Anna Pillai Street, Sowcarpet, Chennai and to meet the expenses in connection therewith, from the accumulation funds relating to 2019-2020 of Kadapakkam Charities.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned AG & OT filed his detailed report dated 16.07.2024. According to Mr. N. Ramanathan, learned AG & OT, the Trust Estate of Kadapakkam Charities is under the administration of the office of the applicant by virtue of the scheme decree dated 22.11.1934 in A.No.1780 of 1963 in C.S. No.200 of 1930; one of the properties of the Trust Estate which is a garden, otherwise called as sculpture or Samadhi Thottam, is

situated at Old Survey No.1117, R.S. No.3584, Beemanna Mudali Street, Mylapore; there is also a house close to the said sculpture or samadhi; one of the objects of the Trust Estate is to perform annual Guru Pooja at the said samadhi; all these days, none had come forward to take care of the samadhi; while so, one Dr. Venkateswari Rasu had offered to take care of the samadhi by lighting lamp daily and maintaining the samadhi in a clean manner, by staying in the house adjacent to the samadhi, provided, she is given rent-free accommodation; based on her request, vide order dated 12.07.2024 in A.No.3506 of 2024, this Court permitted the A.G. & O.T. to provide rentfree accommodation to her and also to make payment of Rs.20,000/- per month to her for taking care of the samadhi/sculpture; further, vide order dated 12.07.2024 in A. No.

3507 of 2024, this Court permitted the A.G. & O.T. to provide financial assistance of Rs.15,000/- per month to her for conducting Devaram and Thiruvasagam classes for interested children; now, the building of the said Samadhi Thottam is in immediate need of repairs and renovation, as certified by the Engineer of the applicant and also the learned Additional Deputy A.G. & O.T.; hence, this application with the aforesaid relief.

Considering the detailed report dated 12.07.2024 of the learned AG & OT and also the submissions made by him, this application is ordered as prayed for.
