ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer to quash the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.25775/2019/DPC 2.2 dated 02.03.2024 passed by the 2nd respondent.

The learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would fairly submit that though the petitioner has challenging the order of the Disciplinary Authority, aggrieved with the very same order he has also preferred an appeal through proper channel on 20.05.2024. The said appeal has been forwarded through the Department to the Appellate Authority after a lapse of one year on 23.05.2025. In such view of the same, the learned Senior Counsel seeks a direction against the Appellate Authority, to dispose of the appeal within a reasonable time.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents would also fairly submit that they would consider the appeal dated 20.05.2024 and pass order within a reasonable time.

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials 2/4

available on record.

In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the Appellate Authority to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 20.05.2024 and pass order according to its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
