PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's Appeal Petition dated 15.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and on merits. ORDER

(The Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM,J) Mr.Hasan Fizal, learned Government Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The prayer sought for in this writ petition is to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's Appeal Petition dated 15.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and on merits.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner Mr.B.Divakaran would state that the petitioner submitted an application for issuance of community certificate, but the second respondent rejected the same. Aggrieved over the order, the petitioner has preferred an appeal petition before the first respondent in the year 2019, but so far the appeal petition is not disposed of. He would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a suitable direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of her appeal petition dated 15.10.2019 within a time framed.

4. The learned Government Counsel would state that the first respondent is ready to pass orders on the appeal petition of the petitioner dated 15.10.2019 in accordance with law.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition and the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's Appeal dated 15.10.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, after providing ample opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
