This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.01.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for issuance of legal heirship certificate pursuant to the demise of her mother Pattammal.
2. Heard Mr.G.Ranganathan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.R.Murthi, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.
3. The petitioner has to make a fresh online application to the respondent by providing all the particulars regarding the legal heirs of the deceased Pattammal. According to the petitioner, the said Pattammal died leaving behind three sons including the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has to follow the procedure and thereafter, claim for the legal heirship certificate from the respondent. On receipt of the online application from the petitioner, the respondent shall act upon the same and do the needful within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of online application from the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No 2/4
costs.
