ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the father of one Krithika aged 42 years. According to the petitioner, his daughter Krithika left the house on 19.06.2016 stating that she is going

to Sathyasai Baba camp to help the pilgrims. Thereafter, she is found missing and the petitioner enquired his relatives and Sathyasai Baba camp. Then he came to know that the 2nd respondent has abducted his daughter and keeping her in illegal detention. Hence, he has given a complaint before the first respondent police and the first respondent also registered a case in Cr.No.1074 of 2016 for 'woman missing'.

2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State and we have also perused the records carefully.

3. Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the respondent police is investigating the case.

4. Since the case is under investigation, we direct the first respondent to proceed with the investigation and take effective steps to produce the detenue.

5. With the above direction, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed. kua (S.N.J.,) (V.B.D.J.,) 01.09.2016
