Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 15.01.2016 in COC No.7 of 2016 against the petitioner's brother, the detenu herein, now confined at Central Prison, Thiruchirapalli and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce Thiru Silambarasan, S/o.Kaliyamoorthy, aged about 25 years before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by G.CHOCKALINGAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the brother of the detenu, Thiru Silambarasan, S/o.Kaliyamoorthy, aged about 25 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 15.01.2016 against his brother branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the brother of the petitioner dated 15.01.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.975, dated 3.3.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
