By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the Respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.09.2024 to cancel the name of P.Karpagam as the beneficiary of the Family and further requested to replace the petitioner's wife named Mrs.Indira.

3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner got married with one Indira on 25.05.1989 and got two children on 05.04.1991 and 06.04.1993 by names Thirumal and Srinivasan. It is the submission of the petitioner that though he is married with Indira, in his Service Register, one Karpagam, who is the 3rd respondent name is found a place as a Nominee. Hence, he has sent a representation to remove Karpagam's name and to include his wife Indira's name and such representation is pending since 18.09.2024.

5. At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a reasonable time.

In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2024 and pass orders, after giving notice to the 3rd respondent, on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of 3/6

this order.
