ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 with regard to the error made during UDR in respect of classification of land comprised in S.No.1289/3, measuring an extent of 1.86 acres, situated at Kamandoddi Village, Shoolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District and to issue patta to the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the 2/6

above mentioned property originally belonged to petitioner's grandfather viz., Douldhi Sayabu and he purchased the same from one Ramachari vide a Sale Deed dated 22.01.1969, registered as Document No.175/1969 before the Sub Registrar, Hosur. After the demise of said Douldhi Sayabu, petitioner's mother viz., Imam Bee and maternal aunt Saithani inherited/succeeded the said property as the daughters of the deceased grandfather and were in possession and enjoyment of the same. It is submitted that petitioner's mother died on 09.12.2012, leaving behind petitioner herein as her legal heir, petitioner has since been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the said land.

4.It is further submitted that during UDR Scheme, the said land has been wrongly classified and recorded as Government Poramboke land in the revenue records and the petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.04.2025 before the 1st respondent seeking rectification of revenue records. However, the above representation has not been considered by the 1st respondent till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.

5.At the outset, it is submitted by the learned Special Government 3/6

Pleader appearing for respondents that the petitioner may have to submit a representation before the 2nd respondent and if the petitioner submits such representation, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interest parties/rival claimants, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 6.Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open.
