PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondent herein for not complying the orders passed in Crl.O.P.No.10271 of 2019 dated 16.04.2019 by the High Court of Madras.

O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed for not complying the order dated 16.04.2019 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.10271 of 2019, thereby directed the respondent to release the vehicle Toyata Innova bearing Registration No.PY-01-AC-4114 seized in Crime No.530 of 2018, as per the order passed in Crl.M.P.No.192 of 2019 dated 06.03.2019 by the learned Magistrate, forthwith. 2.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent filed counter and submitted that the order passed by this Court on 16.04.2019 has been now complied with by the respondent.

It is seen from the counter filed by the respondent, as directed by this Court, the respondent returned the vehicle, Toyata Innova bearing Registration No.PY-01-AC-4114 seized in Crime No.530 of 2018, to the petitioner on 01.08.2019. The relevant portion of the counter affidavit is extracted hereunder:- "9. I submit that I have joined on 11.03.2019, as Inspector of Police, P.E.W.Mailaduthurai. As per the above said order of the Hon'ble High Court, the Additional Superintendent of Police, Nagapattinam District issued a memo in C.No.109/ADSP/NGT/2019 dated 25.06.2019.

I have released the seized vehicle

Toyata Innova bearing Registration No.PY-01-AC-4114 in Crime No.530 of 2018 to the petitioner on 01.08.2019. I obey the order of this Hon'ble High Court and complied the same."

Recording the same, this contempt petition is closed. No costs.
