ORDER

By way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to include three posts of Professors in the faculty of Science (Department of Earth Sciences, Department of Botany etc.) of the respondent University as backlog vacancies meant for Scheduled Castes by issuance of an addendum to the Notification bearing No.1/2010 (C), dated 18.08.2010, enabling him to apply for those posts.

A detailed counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent, wherein it is stated at paragraph 11 that the impugned notification was neither given up nor acted upon for the present till the actual assessment of excess teaching faculties to be completed. Thus, the prayer of the petitioner to include three posts of Professors in the faculty Science in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

view of Notification No.1/2010(C), dated 18.08.2010, cannot be entertained now. Therefore, by recording the said statement made in the counter affidavit, the writ petition stands closed as nothing survives for further adjudication. No Costs.
