Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 16.08.2016 in No.911/BCDFGISSV/2016 against the husband of the petitioner, detenu Madhan @ Madhankumar, M/A 38, S/o.Soosaikumar, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and to set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking an order to call for the records pertaining to the Detention Order of the second respondent in No.911/BCDFGISSV/2016 dated 16.08.2016, quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the person or body of the petitioner's husband Madhan @ Madhankumar, son of Soosaikumar, aged 38 years, detained in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, has submitted that the detention order passed against the detenu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Madhan @ Madhankumar, son of Soosaikumar, aged about 38 years, has been revoked by the Government vide G.O.Rt.No.4843, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIII) Department, dated 06.10.2016. 3.Having considered the same, the learned counsel for the petitioner requested the Court to pass appropriate orders based on revocation of the detention order.

4.Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous, recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, that the detention order passed by the second respondent against the detenu Madhan @ Madhankumar in No.911/BCDFGISSV/2016 dated 16.08.2016, has been revoked by the Government.
