O R D E R

The Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for the alleged wilful disobedience to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.31709 of 2024, dated 23.10.2024.

2. It is seen from the interim order passed by this Court in W.P.No.31709 of 2024, dated 23.10.2024, the proceedings pending on the file of the 2nd respondent was stayed pursuant to the notice impugned in main writ petition dated 10.10.2024 till 29.10.2024.

3. It is the case of the petitioners that notwithstanding the interim order passed by this Court on 23.10.2024, the 2nd respondent herein proceeded with enquiry and passed final orders.

4. Mr.G.Abraham Prabhu, learned Government Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents filed a status report dated 20.06.2026 stating that pursuant to the notice impugned in the writ petition, dated 10.10.2024, the petitioners attended enquiry on 14.10.2024 and filed their written submission. Based on the same, an order was passed by the 2nd respondent on 18.10.2024 well prior to the grant of interim order. 2/4

5. The order passed by the 2nd respondent on 18.10.2024 is also included in the typed set of papers. A perusal of the same would indicate that the enquiry was completed and final order was passed on 18.10.2024 itself well prior to the grant of interim order. In such circumstances, the petitioners have not made out any act of contempt against the 2nd respondent. As far as respondents 1 and 3 are concerned, the interim order was passed only in respect of proceedings pending before the 2nd respondent, the petitioners need not have impleaded the respondents 1 and 3 in the contempt petition.
