O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate VI, Salem to expedite the trial of the case in C.C. No. 185 of 2016.

2. When the matter came up for admission on 25.06.2018, this Court directed the Registry to call for a report from the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Salem with regard to delay in disposal of C.C. No. 185 of 2016.

3. Pursuant to the directions of this Court, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Salem has sent a report dated 12.07.2018, wherein it is stated as follows;

"I humbly submit that I was directed to submit a report regarding delay in disposal of C.C. No. 185/2016. Upon perusal of No.4 registers, I found that no case has been registered as C.C. No. 185 either in the year 2015 or 2016 or 2017. As on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

today C.C. No. 185 /2014 alone has been pending and that too for execution of NBW issued against accused Marimuthu, S/o.

Mariappan since 31.08.2017."

4. In the typed set of papers, the petitioner has filed a charge sheet in FIR No. 163 of 2013 dated 29.03.2013 filed under Sections 147, 120(B), 465, 468, 471, 447, 294(b), 420 and 109 r/w 465,468,420 IPC relating to the Veeranam Police Station, which is against one Sagunthala and others.

5. Hence, recording the report dated 12.07.2018 submitted by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Salem, the present Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
