O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents police to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Malathy, D/o.Iyyappan, aged about 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The petitioner has stated that the detenue, namely, Malathy had studied upto 8th standard. She was working at Seelam Bakery, situated at Muthamizh Nagar, Chennai. While so, she was found missing from 11.01.2016. After searching for her at various places, the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent police on 14.01.2016. The said complaint was assigned C.S.R.No.38 of 2016, on 14.01.2016. However, thereafter, the 3rd respondent police had not taken any effective steps to trace the detenue.

Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition before this Court.

3. At this stage of the hearing of this Habeas Corpus Petition, there is no representation for the petitioner. However, Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents has submitted that the detenue, namely, Malathy had eloped with one A.Bakiyaraj. The detenue, namely, Malathy and A.Bakiyaraj got married, at Tiruvannamalai, on 14.01.2016.

4. The above statement is recorded. In the above circumstances, as the detenue is a major, we are of the considered view that no orders are necessary in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed.
