O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the candidature of the petitioner for the post of Assistant Engineer under Notification Nos.1 & 2 of 2019 issued by the first respondent.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. It is seen that the Government has issued G.O.(Ms) Nos.29 and 30 Higher Education (K1) Department, dated 09.02.2021 with regard to the eligibility of candidates to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer and has also recommended the relevancy / non-relevancy of qualification for the said post. Since the Government has prescribed the qualification for the post, this Court is of the view that there is no hurdle for the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board to proceed with the recruitment process in accordance with law and appoint candidates without any further delay. In case, any of the candidates is aggrieved by the aforesaid Government Orders, it is open to them to challenge the same in accordance with law.
4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
