ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to direct the first and third respondents, to trace out and produce the detenue, by name, Vijayalakshmi, aged 17 years, daughter of the petitioner.

2. Both the petitioner and his counsel are not present.

3. The first respondent, viz., The Inspector of Police, D1, Police Station, Tiruvelikeni, Chennai-9, has produced the detenue and this Court has verified her date of birth and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

ultimately has come to a conclusion to the effect that the detenue has attained only 17 1/2 years.

4. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the detenue has to be housed in a Home as indicated below. In fine, the first respondent, viz., the Inspector of Police, D1 Police station, Tiruvelikeni, Chennai, is directed to house the detenue by name, Vijayalakshmi, in Government Home for Women, Mylapore, Chennai, till she attains majority. If there is any change in the circumstances, liberty is given to file a petition.

With the above observation, this habeas corpus petition is disposed of.
