O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

2. This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu, namely, Karthikeyan, aged about 22 years, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondent police to produce her son, before this Court, and to set him at liberty.

3. At this stage of the hearing of the habeas corpus petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 herein, had stated that the detenu has been arrested and remanded to custody, in respect of the case in Crime No.266 of 2016, on the file of the Gingee All Women Police Station, relating to offences committed under the various provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012.

4. In view of the above submission, made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, we find it appropriate to dismiss the habeas corpus petition.
