This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.218 of 2018 pending on the file of the 3rd respondent to the 2nd respondent.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record. 3.On the complaint given by the Sub Inspector of Police, a case in Crime No.218 of 2018 has been registered on 23.04.2018 under Section 160 IPC between two groups one lead by Chandran [A-party] and the other lead by Poongodi [Bparty]. While so, Poongodi has filed the present petition for transfer of investigation from the file of the 3rd respondent to the 2nd respondent.

4.In the opinion of this Court, a case of this nature, where two parties got involved in rioting, investigation can be best done only by the local police. However, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tiruvallur is directed to monitor the investigation of the case in Crime No.218 of 2018. With the above direction, this petition is closed.
