ORDER

The petitioner / landlord who initiated proceedings to evict the respondents/tenants in R.L.T.O.P.No.1 of 2021 before the Principal District Munsif, Tindivanam, is before this Court seeking expeditious disposal of R.L.T.O.P.No.1 of 2021.

2. Heard Ms.G.S.Dhanalakshmi, leaned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in this Revision, notice to the respondents is dispensed with. P.B. BALAJI,J.

4. Under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenant Act, 2017, the RLTOP has to be disposed of within a period of three months. In this case, R.L.T.O.P has been filed in the year 2021 and for more than four years, it has been kept pending which goes against the letter and spirit of the enactment itself. Hence, the learned Principal District Munsif, Tindivanam, is directed to dispose of R.L.T.O.P.No.1 of 2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision petition is disposed of. No costs.
