This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to investigate the case and file a final report in Crime No.3 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the accused had filed Crl.OP.No.18103 of 2014, challenging the FIR and therefore, the police were not able to proceed further with the investigation. He further submitted that Crl.OP.No.18103 of 2014 has been dismissed on 18.11.2016.
4. Under such circumstance, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible.
