The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.05.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 69, 318(2), 351(1) of BNS Act in Crime No.19 of 2025 on the file of the respondent. 1/4

2. The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.05.2025. The petitioner had raped, cheated and criminally intimidated the defacto complainant. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner is not the reason for the victim's pregnancy. The victim had gone to Tirupur and at that time she had physical relationship with another person which might be the reason for her to get pregnant. The petitioner is in prison from 12.05.2025. Hence he prayed to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) strongly opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner stating that the victim is in advanced stage of pregnancy of seven months and confirmed that it is the petitioner who committed forcible rape on the victim. However, only after child birth DNA can be confirmed.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
