ORDER

This original petition has been filed seeking to direct the Assistant Sessions Judge, Ponneri, to recall the non bailable warrant issued on 06.06.2017 against the petitioner in S.C.No.217 of 2012.P.N.PRAKASH.,J.

2. It is seen that the petitioner is facing prosecution in S.C.No.217 of 2012 before the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Ponneri and that on 06.06.2016 he was absent on account of which a non bailable warrant has been issued.

3. Taking into consideration these aspects, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the Assistant Sessions Judge, Ponneri, Tiruvallur Taluk, in S.C.No.217 of 2012 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order with an application for surrender and on such application being https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

filed, the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, shall consider the same on merits and pass appropriate orders on the same day. If the petitioner further absconds, a fresh FIR can be registered against him under Section 229-A of IPC.

4. In the result, this criminal original petition is closed with the above observations.
