This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in FIR No.39 of 2007.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record. 3.On the complaint given by the petitioner that her husband Srinivasan has gone missing, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.39 of 2007 under the caption "man missing" and investigation is pending. While so, the petitioner has filed the present petition for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation within a time bound manner. 4.In a case of this nature, such a direction cannot be issued because, unless the person or his body is identified, there cannot be any further progress in the case. of the matter, the relief claimed by the petitioner cannot be granted. But, however, the respondent is directed to keep the FIR pending and take all steps to trace the person. With the above direction, this petition is closed.
