ORDER
This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned communication of the 3rd respondent dated 31.05.2025 and for a consequential direction to the 3rd respondent to provide electricity service connection for the basement and for the ground floor, based on the application dated 27.05.2025. 2.Heard Mr.D.S.Rajasekaran, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.Swami Subramanian, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3/6 3.On going through the records placed before this Court, it is seen that the petitioner has completed the construction of the basement and ground floor and after carrying out the inspection, the local authority has issued completion certificate dated 28.12.2024 for the purpose of obtaining electricity service connection. Based on this certificate, the petitioner submitted an application before the 3rd respondent. The 3rd respondent has refused to provide service connection and had insisted that the petitioner must get the completion certificate for the entire construction of basement + three floors. This communication has been put to challenge in the present writ petition. 4.
In the considered view of this Court, the petitioner is only seeking for the service connection for the basement and the ground floor for which a Completion Certificate has been issued by the concerned authority.

On receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent shall act upon the application and provide the service connection for the basement and the ground floor, if the petitioner has fulfilled the requirements. This process shall be completed by the 3rd respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the online application from the petitioner. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
