ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to expedite the investigation and to file a Final 1/4

Report in Crime No.903 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Manali Police Station, Chennai.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent Police has registered a case in the above said crime number on 25.08.2021, no Final Report is filed till date.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent Police may be permitted to file a Final Report within a period of six weeks.

5. In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed to either file a Final Report or a Closure Report, as the case may be, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the de-facto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed off.
