By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners are the parents of D.Kanniappan and D.Senthil. Their grievance is despite their old age, they have been left in lurch by their sons and also invoked the jurisdictional 2nd respondent by filing a petition/complaint dated 21.11.2014 under the Maintenance of Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and since the same has not been given disposal, they came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that 1st respondent, vide communication dated 09.12.2014 in Na.Ka.No.3172/2014/A5, has directed the District Welfare Officer, Kancheepuram District, to act on the representation of the petitioners dated 21.11.2014 and send a report to him and despite that, no orders have been passed and therefore, the petitioners are constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. This Court, taking into consideration, the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to entertain the complaint of the petitioners dated 21.11.2014 submitted to him, if the papers are otherwise in order and after putting on notice, the sons of the petitioners, viz., Tvl.D.Kanniappan, residing at Door No.3/92, Bharathi Street, Gerugambakkam, Chennai-600122 [Mobile No.9042983598] and D.Senthil, residing at Flat No.2, Phase-I, Max Worth Nagar, Kolappakkam, Chennai-600048 and give a disposal in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners as well as to the sons of the petitioners.

6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
