ORDER

The petitioner has filed this contempt petition to punish the respondents for disobeying the order of this Court in Crl.O.P.No.3619 of 2022 dated 21.02.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had filed Crl.O.P.No.3619 of 2022 and this Court, while disposing the petition, had directed the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police to monitor the investigation conducted by the second respondent and the second respondent was directed to complete the investigation and file the final report based on the materials available, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and since the order has not been complied, the present petition has been filed.

3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that in due compliance of the order, the further investigation was monitored by one Sundaram, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sethiyathope Sub Division, 2/4

Chidambaram Taluk, Cuddalore District and the second respondent after completing the further investigation, has filed the final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Chidambaram on 08.04.2022 within the time frame fixed by this Court and the case was taken up for trial and has been posted for examination of LW1 to LW4. He further submitted that there is no contempt on the part of the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions and also taking note of the Compliance Report dated 23.11.2022 filed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sethiyathope Sub Division, Cuddalore District, nothing survives for adjudication as the order has been complied with. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. 28.03.2023 Index: Yes/ No arb 3/4
