O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.454 of 2017. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner gave a complaint to the respondent Police and thereafter, filed Crl.O.P.No.14312 of 2017 and on the directions of this Court, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.454 of 2017 on 14.12.2017 under Section 406 and 420 IPC against three accused. While so, the de facto complainant has filed the present petition for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation within a time frame.

4.Today, Mr.P.Gopal, SI, CCB, EDF-II, Team-IXA, Chennai is present before this Court and filed a Status Report detailing the steps that are being taken by the Police to complete the investigation.

5.In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.454 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a Charge Sheet or a Closure Report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant. With the above direction, this petition is closed.
