The petitioners, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 379 & 430 IPC, in Crime No.260 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Thus, he seeks grant of anticipatory bail for the petitioners.

3.In response, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) opposed this petition and submitted that accused in this case have illegally transported river sand, 1⁄2 unit each in two bullock carts on 21.06.2023, at about 6.00 a.m., near Pachaiyamman temple, Wallajah Poondi Village, without any valid permit. sli 4.Considering the fact that petitioners have involved in illegal transportation of river sand and that the river sand stolen is 1 unit and that investigation in this case is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
