(Order of the Court was made by G.Jayachandran J.) The petitioner herein, claiming to belong to the Hindu Adi-Dravida Community (Scheduled Castes). Based on her mother's community certificate and origin submitted a representation dated 05.06.2026, received by the Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Thirunallur, on 09.06.2026, seeking issuance of Schedule Caste community certificate.

2. The Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the applications made by the petitioner are under consideration in the light of the Presidential Order dated 05.03.1964; the subsequent Circulars and Official Memorandums issued from time to time. Based on the judicial pronouncements rendered so far, necessary decision will be taken on her applications in accordance with law. Page Nos.2/5

3. Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
