This petition has been filed to condone the delay in filing the written statement/ counter in Election Original Petition No.1 of 2021 and consequently, permit the petitioner to contest the above election petition.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent has not raised any serious objection to allow the petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.

4. Having satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed along with the petition, we inclined to condone the delay in filing the written statement/ counter.

5. Accordingly, this petition is allowed.
