The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents to consider his representation dated 19.01.2024 and pass necessary orders for issue of patta in the name of petitioner's grandfather namely Chamudi @ Pallikodathan for the land comprised in Survey No.64/2 measuring an extent of 0.50.0 ares situated at Periyathallapadi Village, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

According to the petitioner, his grandfather purchased the above mentioned land under sale deed dated 13.12.1943 from District Board, Salem and he had been in possession and enjoyment of the same till his death. The respondent, without any enquiry classified the said land which is under possession and enjoyment of the petitioner as "Anadheenam" land. Therefore, he submitted a representation on 19.01.2024 seeking cancellation of the classification and restoration of the patta in the name of his grandfather. The said representation has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court by way of writ petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and final orders will be passed within a time fixed by this Court.

It is also seen from the typed set of papers that 2nd respondent initiated an enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner as seen from the notice issued by him dated 27.11.2023 enclosed in the typed set of papers. However, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that till date, no final orders have been passed.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry initiated in Na.Ka.No.3669/2022/G dated 27.11.2023 and pass final orders on the representation of petitioner dated 19.01.2024 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 3/5
