Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to take expeditious time bound action on petitioner representation dated 03.09.2024 to sanction all benefits due to the Petitioner within a time-frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.
2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to take expeditious time bound action on petitioner representation dated 03.09.2024 to sanction all benefits due to the Petitioner within a time-frame that may be stipulated by this Court. 2/6
3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's mother late V.Meena Kumari served under the 4th RespondentHospital as a Senior Assistant Medical Officer and died while she was in service on 13.01.2023, leaving the petitioner as the sole Legal Heir. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that his mother divorced her husband during 1995 itself. Therefore, the petitioner is the sole legal heir of the deceased V.Meena Kumari. Hence, claiming her terminal benefits, he has sent a representation to the 2nd respondent on 03.09.2024.

At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 invite the attention of this Court about the 3rd respondent's Letter dated 27.12.2024, wherein they have forwarded a proposal to the 2nd respondent in respect of payment of terminal benefits to the petitioner and the petitioner's request is pending before the 2nd respondent. He would further submit that they would take a final decision, within a reasonable time.

In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to pass final order upon the proposal sent by the 3rd respondent, vide his Letter dated 27.12.2024 on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 02.07.2025 Index : Yes/No Speaking order /Non Speaking Order dm 4/6
