This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to investigate the same registered in Crime No.391/2014.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
3. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.391/2014 was registered on 23.06.2014 under Section 380 I.P.C against unknown accused. It is the case of the petitioner that there was a theft in his house on 23.06.2014, while he was asleep. Since the accused has not yet been identified, there cannot be a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and within a time bound manner. However, the respondent police is directed to take effective steps to identify the accused expeditiously.
