This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to pass an order on the petitioner's petition dated 07.08.2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the entire materials available on record.
3. It is the case of the writ petitioner that petitioner's father D.Muthuramalingam is the absolute owner of the property in S. No.145(3), 146(4B), 146(5B) and 146(5D) in Melakondai Village, Vikkravandi Taluk, Villupuram District. After his demise, the petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the property. When he took on-line patta, in addition to petitioner's father name some other persons name also shown as joint pattadars. Hence he has given a petition on 07.08.2023 to the District Collector to cancel the patta granted in the name of wrong persons and to issue patta in the name of his father Muthuramalingam and after that in his name. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the third respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's application to cancel wrong entry in the patta, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to respondents 4 and 5 and the petitioner. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.
