When this Court was about to dismiss this petition on merits, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw the same and has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

3. It is seen that the FIR was registered by the Thoraipakkam Police in the year 2012 and till date, the final https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

report has not been filed. In cases of this nature, the investigation should have been completed expeditiously. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the first respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.2675 of 2012, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already completed. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
