This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to file the charge sheet Final report in FIR No.122 of 2018, on the file of the V-5, Thirumangalam Police Station, Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
3. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR and the fact that the FIR was registered in the year 2018, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.122 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible and either file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
