Crl.O.P.No.16589 of 2023 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., The petitioner namely Ramasamy, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 04.07.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A)(ii) of TNP Act & Section 6 & 7 of TNRS Rules, 2000 in Crime No.288 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner is in Judicial Custody from 04.07.2023. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on 15.03.2023, when the respondent police were on regular patrolling, they found that, petitioner was found in possession of 4325 litres of I.D arrack. He further submitted that, apart from this case, there are eighteen similar previous cases pending against the petitioner. 1/3
4. Considering the fact that petitioner is an habitual offendor and there are similar previous cases pending against the petitioner and that investigation is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 26.07.2023 Sma 2/3
