ORDER

The petitioners have filed W.M.P.(Crl).No.90 of 2025 seeking permission to them to file a single Writ Petition and the said W.M.P. is ordered on payment of separate Court fee by each of the petitioners.

2. The petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition to direct the second respondent to provide adequate Police protection to the petitioners during the Chelliyamman Temple Kappu Kattum Festival at Chinnakandiyankuppam Village, Vridhachalam, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2025.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that there is no dispute with regard to the two rival groups and they have referred the matter to Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) for peace committee meeting. Since there is dispute regarding the right of the performance of the festival, it can be agitated only before the Civil Court and neither the RDO, nor the Police, could interfere with the rights of the parties. The petitioners are at liblerty to work out the remedy before the competent Civil 2 / 4

Court in accordance with law.
