ORDER

This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.179 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police to CBCID, Chennai, or to any other competent investigating agency. 2.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the FIR, which was registered under Section 174 of Cr.P.C, was subsequently altered for an offence under Section 306 of IPC and the investigation is still pending and in the course of investigation, the accused person was also arrested.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it is a clear case of murder and therefore some higher authority must be directed to monitor the investigation.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to proceed further with the investigation effectively. The investigation shall be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

monitored by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Triplicane, Chennai. The investigation shall be completed within a period of three months and a final report shall be filed before the concerned Court.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
