ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned final Answer key released by the first Respondent on 26.09.2023 for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police in the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board 2023 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the first respondent provide additional marks to the petitioner in connection with question Nos. 6, 30, 111 in question Type 'C' for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police in the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board 2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is employed as Grade-I Police Constable at F1,

Chintadripet Police Station, Greater Chennai Police. While he is inservice, a notification dated 05.05.2023 issued by the first respondent for direct recruitment to the post of Sub Inspector of Police-2023 (Taluk, Armed Reserve and Tamil Nadu Special Police-(Men, Women and Transgender)) and the petitioner applied for the said post. The method of recruitment consists of Written Test, Certificate Verification and Medical Test, Viva Voce and Special Marks for NSS/NCC/Sports Medals in National Police Duty.

4. While being so, the petitioner had attended the written examination on 26.08.2023 and 27.08.2023 and he had scored 70 marks in the written examination and qualified for certificate verification. The petitioner's certificates were verified and he was also selected for viva-voce. Thereafter, the petitioner was not selected as per the provisional selection list, after having been participated in the viva-voce, now the petitioner challenged the answer keys of the question Nos.6, 30 and 111 of the C Type question paper as if the answer keys are not correct for the said questions. Immediately, after examination, the answer

keys was issued by the respondents. However, the petitioner did not raise any objections. After not having been selected to the post of SubInspector of Police, now the petitioner challenged the answer keys of the question Nos.6, 30 and 111 of the C Type question paper. That apart, the entire selection process was over and the selection list has been issued for the selected candidates.

5. In view of the above, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs. 01.08.2024 Internet: Yes Index : Yes/No Speaking/Non Speaking order mn
