It is seen that this petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail in Crl.M.P.No.3892 of 2018 on 19.06.2018 on certain conditions, one of which is that, he should deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- as cash security before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tindivanam. Challenging the said condition, the petitioner is before this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a whistle blower and that, he had found the Block Development Officer and the Executive Engineer laying pipelines in the village with substandard pipes.

Therefore, he intervened. On account of which, an FIR has been registered against him.

4.On the contrary, the allegation in the FIR shows that the petitioner had prevented the Assistant Engineers and other officials from performing their duty and caused damage to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

water motor to a tune of Rs.50,000/-, that is why, a case under Section 3 of PPD Act has been registered against the petitioner. When a public property is damaged, the accused should have to pay the necessary compensation to the State. This Court does not find any infirmity in the order passed by the Sessions Judge. However, a sum of Rs.50,000/- imposed by the Sessions Judge in Crl.M.P.No.3892 of 2018 is reduced to Rs.30,000/-. Rest of the conditions shall remain the same. One week time is extended from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for surrendering before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Tindivanam.
